Have you been cursed with a love of the sequential art form, creative aspirations, and an utter lack of drawing ability? Well, you can stop railing against the cosmos, because SLG has the event to help you.
SLG will be host to a free comic book writing workshop on April 14, 2007 at their San Jose headquarters. The workshop will be conducted by SLG editor-in-chief Jennifer de Guzman and Landry Walker, writer of Tron and Kid Gravity.
Walker and de Guzman, who both are similarly cursed as you, will cover comic writing fundamentals, such as plot, character development, pacing and--most importantly--working with an artist.
If there is interest, attendees will have the opportunity to have their comic scripts critiqued professionally and by their peers in subsequent sessions. If you have a script ready, you are encouraged to bring it to the first session. Sign up soon by emailing Jennifer de Guzman at slgchief@slgpubs.com or calling 1-877-754-7877.
