I just sent this email to our retailer mailing list. Remember, everyone, if you'd like to see SLG comics in your local comics store, please be sure to ask for them! We're listed under Amaze Ink/SLG Publishing in Previews.
Dear Retailers:
I'm sending you this quick note to let you know that the "Kid Friendly" label that Diamond assigned to the SLG title Strange Eggs Jumps the Shark (MAY090640) in the current issue of Previews is not correct. We don't know how it ended up with that label, but we do know that Strange Eggs Jumps the Shark has material in it that is not what a lot of parents would call "appropriate" for their kids.
We hope you'll still order it, though -- it has new stories by a lot of great creators, including Jhonen Vasquez (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac), Eisner-nominated and Eisner judge Ben Towle (Midnight Sun), and the now-oft-blogged-about James Turner (Rex Libris, Warlord of Io).
And as our recent press release announced, we're also publishing Zeke Deadwood, Zombie Lawman by Thomas Boatwright and Ryan Rubio (MAY090641) in July. I hope you'll check out the preview on our website, www.slgcomic.com.
Thanks for your attention, and please feel free to email me at slgchief@slgpubs.com if you'd like more information or previews of upcoming titles.
Sincerely,
Jennifer de Guzman Editor-in-Chief SLG Publishing
