You know those guys who kind of hang around and talk about music and stuff. You know, if you're older (like me) maybe one of your kid's friends. These guys talk about being in a band and making an album and playing music. Well, that would describe the Doormice.

What would also describe the Doormice is that they are super talented and that their record, released through the SLG record label Slab Yard Sound, is really really good. Kind of a hard folk Tom Waits style thing going on with lyrics that will stick in your head and music that has a lot of heart to it.

Their debut CD, Grit, was not only released by SLG's record label Slab Yard Sound, but it was recorded in the SLG warehouse and mixed by our very own in-shouse sound engineer Slabado Domingo.
