The Luau Room was the original restaurant of the famed Del Coronado Hotel in San Diego. Decked out in thatching, bamboo poles and featuring nightly entertainment and a beautiful ocean-front view. The recipe for the signature drink, The Coronado Luau Special, was printed in our very own Grog Log by Jeff Beach Bum Berry and currently lives on a s a specialty cocktail for the famed Forbidden Island tiki bar in Alameda, CA.
The image on this shirt is a redesigned and redrawn image of the Luau Room’s menu cover. The logo has been moved to the top of the image in order to make it stand out more and look better on a shirt, other elements that bled off into nowhere were removed. Call it an homage, but this is basically a new piece of art!
